Dr. Jeremy Marozeau is a Senior Researcher at the University of Geneva, where he investigates how vibrations can restore music perception for hearing-impaired listeners. He previously led the "Music and Cochlear Implant" research group at the Technical University of Denmark's Department of Health Technology, focusing on enhancing music perception and sound quality for cochlear implant users.
Dr. Marozeau earned his Ph.D. with the Perception and Musical Cognition team at the Institute for Music/Acoustic Research and Coordination (IRCAM) in Paris. He deepened his expertise in auditory research at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Marseille, studying the loudness of impulsive sounds, and continued this research as a Research Associate at Northeastern University in Boston.
He also spent six years as a Senior Researcher at the Bionics Institute in Melbourne, where he worked on improving sound processor strategies for cochlear implants. Throughout his career, Dr. Marozeau has collaborated extensively with artists to develop a more inclusive musical language for individuals with disabilities.
