Disney After Dark

The Danish National Museum invited Augmented Music and the Technical University of Denmark to design the sound scenography for a special exhibition celebrating the iconic Danish rock band D.A.D. The challenge was to create four distinctive sound spaces within a single room, allowing visitors to move freely and immerse themselves in different songs as they explore. Inspired by the dynamic energy of the band’s music, the design combines artistic vision with innovative techniques. Vertical ceiling speakers project mid-to-low frequencies into specific zones, creating 'sound showers' that envelop the listener, while solid transducers beneath the floorboards transmit low-frequency vibrations directly to the body, making the music something to be felt as well as heard. This multisensory experience invites visitors to connect with the music of D.A.D. in a powerful and personal way, celebrating the spirit of rock through sound and vibration
