Le Son des Pierres

Raphaël Ortis, Charlotte Nordin and Jeremy Marozeau developed a project that co-composes with the acoustic character of a place.

Objects in the courtyard of the Château de Céreste — including an old workbench, an olive tree, a door, stones and chairs — were fitted with powerful transducers so their own resonances could become audible.

The audience experienced the space not only acoustically but physically, through vibrating objects and surfaces.
